Alisson, an instructional designer from Brazil travelled to Ireland to improve his English. He chose to stay in a homestay so he could speak as much English as possible and chose to stay with Antoinette in Dublin for 1 month (€670 per month). Read on to hear more about his time in Ireland.
Using homestay.com to find a great place to stay is really easy! I could choose among many families and I found a perfect one! I think it is better staying in a host family than a hotel, for sure! It was perfect! I have no words to describe my stay at Antoinette's house. The house is cosy and comfortable, I felt like I was at home! A good energy flows through the house and Antoinette didn't hesitate to help me with everything I needed. She has a big heart and a beautiful soul! Her cats are part of the family and I miss them already. Thanks again Antoinette for making my first time in Ireland better than I expected! :D
I went to Dublin to study for an exam and I visited many museums, parks and pubs. I was really surprised about the architecture of the city! Wonderful! The cathedral and the castles in the city are breathtaking! The beer is great and you find people from every part of the globe in this city! I'll miss the city!
Bunnratty Castle. Amazing place!
Don't hesitate to use the public transport, its great! You can top up the card (leap card) to use the dart, bus and Luas, easier and cheaper! All the museums are free and you can find groups on internet that organise cheap tours in Ireland. You must visit the Cliffs and the Rope bridge! These places are unbeliavable!
I had an amazing experience with my host! I practiced my English and I learned many local words. I felt like I was at home! My host's house was cosy and confortable! I made new friends and for sure I will come back to Ireland! Thanks homestay for making my experience better than I expected! worth it!
