Feline fans become friends at homestay in Holloway

On a recent trip to London, travel blogger Helen Anne Travis stayed in a homestay in Holloway with her host Danny (pictured above).

She was initially drawn to Danny as a host because they share a mutual love of cats - Danny’s 13 year old cat (pictured above) is called Bean. However, shortly after arriving, Helen Anne soon discovered that she and her host had even more in common as their conversation veered to more serious, but mutual, interests.

"While he showed me around the home we talked about the changing states of employment and pensions in the US and Britain, as well as the joys and pains of living in an older home. (Danny lives in a 110-year-old terraced house; I recently moved into a 100-year-old renovated church.)"

By the end of her stay, the two were enjoying Sunday lunch together and their 'host and guest' relationship had evolved to one of 'new friends'.
