We have been living in Iona Villas for the last 35 years. It is in a quiet safe residental area only 15 minutes walk from the city centre.
We live in a beautiful modern house. There are wooden floors in the bedroom and throughout the house. There is wifi, a wardrobes, drop leaf table and chair, a locker, and wall light over the bed. The bedroom has a lovely en-suite bathroom. We are in a great location in Glasnevin. We are a 15-minute walk from the city centre or 10 minutes by bus. We are close to trendy Phibsboro and Stoney Batter which are a ten minute walk away.
We are the perfect location for students: DCU (Dublin City University), St Patrick's College, and All Hallows College (all three are under the DCU umbrella), as well as TU Grangegorman, are all close-by.
DCU is 10 minutes away by bus, or about 25 minutes away walking.
St Patrick's College is about 10 minutes away walking.
All Hallow's College is about 20 minutes walking or by bus.
Trinity College Dublin (TCD) is about 20 minutes away by bus, or 35 minutes walking. TU is about 25 minutes walk or 10 minutes by bus.
Glasnevin has lots of amenities: the beautiful National Botanic Gardens are minutes' walk away, plenty of eateries and pubs in the area.
There are a couple of particularly interesting places to visit close-by.
John Kavanagh's pub (or, as it is more commonly referred to - The Gravediggers) is right beside Glasnevin Cemetary.
Bang Bang Café is also within walking distance, a lovely café in Phibsborough with an emphasis on delicious locally sourced food and drink. Griffith Park is a wonderful area to go for a lovely walk with keep fit equipment at the entrance

Excellent accommodation in a very quiet place. Bedroom very tidy and clean, good breakfast. Perfect hosts, very helpful for everything, especially about how to get around in the city. Warm welcoming too. Buses can get you in the city centre in 15-30 minutes depending on the waiting time; perfect value for money!

Nice family. They helped me and my friend to carry our suitcase on our arrival and our departure. They also show us locations to eat around the house. They were very helpful.
We had a separate lounge for us where we can eat. The breakfast was good.
The bedroom was a bit small for two people and the bathroom even more. There were windows on the ceiling which bring light early in the morning.
We were sometimes disturbed by noise from the children especially in the morning.
Except for this point, it was a nice experience.
