When do I get paid?

For hosts on our Standard payment option, the guest pays a 15% booking fee (maximum fee of 250 $£€)  - on the top of the booking price - to Homestay.com to confirm the booking. On arrival, the guest pays you directly for their stay. Please include how you would like to be paid in your profile, for instance by cash, bank transfer, PayPal or another payment method.

For hosts availing of our Deposit payment option (only available in certain countries and currencies) you will be paid 2 business days after the scheduled guest arrival. If you're a new host, or if this is the first time that you avail of this option, your first payment will be made 7 business days after the scheduled arrival date. There is a minimum threshold (€£$ 5) so your payment will not be released until this amount is reached.

Some hosts like to take payment prior to arrival and make an arrangement with the guest that works for both parties. These payments should be made by bank transfer or PayPal at your agreed time with the guest. Please note, if you'd like guests to make a full or part payment in advance of arrival or if you have your own cancellation policy, you must include this on your homestay profile. The guest must be made aware of this before they complete the booking online.
